A couple of watercolours of/inspired by a wonderful short story by Chloë Reeson, links to the story and her personal blog above. The story itself is just too lovely, you should definitely go forth and read it. Right now. Please.

Super Delicious, Totally Fantastic
2 lovely fat bowls of vege ramen heaven.
1 medium leek, rinsed & sliced thin
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium thumb of fresh ginger, also minced
3 tablespoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon dried chilli flakes
2 heaped tablespoons veg Miso paste
2 cups kombu dashi (kelp stock)
2 cups veg or chicken style (also veg friendly) stock
Pinch of Salt (Soy) & Pepper
1 fistfull organic ramen noodles
Some sort of Bok or Cabbage
Lightly stir-fried carrots & sprouts
Fried onion crisps or fresh scallions
Shimchi or Crushed peppercorns & sesame seeds
Optional - Soft to medium boiled “ramen” egg
Heat half the sesame oil in a sauce pan. Over high-ish heat add leek, garlic and ginger, after 2 minutes add chilli flakes and reduce heat.
Add your miso paste and a splash of stock. Stir until the paste breaks up, then add the kombu dashi and stock. Simmer for 10 minutes or so, add soy sauce and pepper to taste.
Boil your ramen noodles for 3-4 minutes until al dente and drain them. Place noodle in the bowl you’ll be serving your ramen in. Pour your piping hot soup over the noodles (you can strain the soup at this point if you’d like but I’m too lazy) and add the toppings of your choice. Sprinkle over some shichimi and some sesame seed oil. Serve. Eat. Food Coma.
Post the 26th Make Art March. I’ve seen a few images of this definition running around tumblr. Thought I might be able to improve on it a little in both wording and aesthetics.

Daenerys “Mother of Dragons” Targaryen annoying her little dragon babby/cub/hatchling with adorable pet clothing. Vaguely reminiscent of how my best friend Sasha torments every animal she’s ever been in contact with, whilst still being undeniably loving to them.
Kind of chuffed with this one, mostly because once upon a time I would have struggled to get this close to the idea in my head for days (and probably still not get there) and I knocked this out in under 2 hours. Although the drapery and anatomy aren’t spot on, they’re ‘comicy’ correct. Yeah this was fun, enjoyment!
Post the 24th Make Art March. Dumbledore quotes, my favourite!!
We’re in the home stretch now, only a couple of days left to go.
Post the 23rd Make Art March - I may have been craving today. Mmmm expensive watercolour paper, you’re so attractive.

Featuring cubism and my incredibly poor sense of colour mixing.

Red Panda drawing with copics. Not as red as it probably should be, but check out that lack of line art!!

This is a lovely couple I stalked around a Picasso exhibition last year. I’ve drawn them a number of times since and this is the best likeness I’ve achieved.
They remain a sketch because I have an incredibly acute case of line-art-never-as-good-as-the-sketch syndrome and didn’t want to destroy the likeness.
Swoon for old couples in art galleries.
I did a fairly thorough and hilarious audit of all my art supplies the other day.
Then promptly went out and bought a few more.
If you’re ever in any doubt about What-Would-Talia-Do?! It’s buy art supplies, it’s always buy art supplies.
Post the 17th Make Art March. I can’t really tell if the ideas I have ever translate fully, but I thought this was super cute and sort of making fun of nostalgia at the same time.
Also tamagotchis are adorbz.
